Default Trans slipping, now nothing

I was driving in stop and go traffic yesterday and felt my transmission slip from 1st-2nd and 2nd-3rd. I stopped the car at a gas station now there is no slipping. I had my fluid changed less than a month ago, I added some lucas stop slip just as a preventative yesterday when I stopped at the gas station. Fluid looked a little burnt when I stopped nothing major. Drove another 30 miles with no slip. Did I just overheat the trans? 2005 chevy Impala 61000 3.4 liter

It'* hard to say. I would have the car scanned. Many of the trans codes won't trip a SES light, but will store a code.

It slipped just a couple times and now it'* driving good? Could be signs of a failing pcs (aka epc) or low fluid level etc. Like Dan said..it'* tough to pinpoint it and unless it'* feedback from a sensor or soleniod, you won't end up with a code.
