Hey guys, new to the forum, pretty much new to engine building in general. So long story short, I purchased a SBC out of a 72 Chevelle which was supposedly rebuilt years ago, my plan is to drop it in my 79 Malibu. The engine has been sitting on a stand for many years but turned over nicely. I purchased many new parts for it, but after coming across 2 small holes inside of block, got paranoid... I need you guys to please tell me what I am dealing with here before I go any further. Thank you in advance, I will try to post pics shortly
Hole on either side up front
So I came to find out that those weird looking holes are actually oil galleys, forgive my ignorance, like I said I am fairly new to the engine game... I think I am making pretty good progress on this build though, I will post up pics on build thread, any input or criticism is welcome, thanks again
