Bottom line if the engine cradle is bent is it necessary to replace?
Look at the upper rad support and make sure there are no bends or kinks in it. Also both sides where the support bolts you'll see the flange where the body panels are welded and they go from the front of the fender/radiator back to the rear at the doors/firewall. They should be straight with no kinks or bends. If they are not all straight the frame is bent.

My bad. I saw the $2,500.00 above and thought that was your purchase price.

Regarding the bent-frame possibility: have them put it on a 4-wheel alignment machine it and see how it comes out. If the frame is bent it will show there, and it'* easier and less-expensive than putting it on a frame machine.

If it is bent then you probably should. Personally I give it a 30% chance that it'* bent. That sub--frame is pretty tough. Look at all of the mounts to see if they are disturbed/cracked/at a weird angle/etc.

Thanks for all the replies, turns out all of my issues are covered by the warranty and the shop the dealer uses is replacing the sub-frame, putting in a new rack and even getting me a brand new right rear tire thats dry rotted. Looks like i lucked out here thanks a bunch everyone!

Wow, good deal! Rare to hear of a dealer covering a used car so well.

That is awesome news! The Impala should be good to go for many years ahead now.
