whats throwin me off is that i wiggled them before i took them loose and there was a little play in a few of them. After putting them back i gently snugged, then tightened the second step (i was pretty careful, not going to run it like this, but they are probably a little undertorqued) and the dont wiggle anymore. they are firm.

Are you reusing the rocker bolts? Because those are a one time use. They do make a reusable rocker bolt, I think those are 24 foot pounds.

i called my dad (customer) and he told me to reuse the rocker arm bolts for now.
it seems that it was the torque on the rocker arm bolts, because it is gone now after the retorque.

No offence to your dad, but those are torque to yield bolts and are not supposed to be re-used. You should buy new bolts.

You are an idiot. You come on here asking for help with a problem , and when somebody tells you what the problem is , you ignore it. Quit wasting peoples time.

My Dad made the choice. It'* his car and his money. I made a solid reccomendation to replace them. If it was my car I would have just done it. Your post is the waste of time, because if anyone else has this problem and searches, here'* the awnser. Now unbunch your interweb panties
