So. After letting the truck sit a couple days to maybe let the encoder motor dry out a little more, it went back into 4-Lo, the buttons were lit up correctly. When pushing the button, I could hear the t-case shift out of four, but automatically back into 4-Lo. Also would go into 4-Hi, but back into Lo automatically. Still think its thhe motor? Or just the sensor?

Hey, you've helped me out way more than anyone I've talked to about it. I truly appreciate your time jw. I'm getting aggravated with the darned thing. Checked out a few junk yards yesterday, and not one of em has a 98 drivetrain assembly whatsoever. This thing really is on high demand.
