I own a 2009 Chevy Cobalt Ls Coupe.The color of it is Slate Metallic.I have not seen very many Cobalts with this color.Is Slate Metallic a rare color?l

No. It is a blueish-gray color.

Ink Slate Metallic is the color, paint code is 87U used on the Impala from 2007-2009 cobalt ran about the same year range. it'* a hard color to distinguish given in different lights it'* a different shade of whatever color. chances are it is a fairly common color but given it'* color change effects you may not recognize them right off

Was Slate Metallic just used as a chevy color? Was it ever used by any of the other GM divisions. If it was, which divisions.

so far i have only seen it on chevy. there may have been a sister color on another GM brand but will have to look it up under the RPO code of 87U
