Default Chevrolet Orlando Parts

Now that GM no longer sells parts for the Chevrolet Orlando and it seems online store don't either can I use parts from the Chevrolet Cruze model? It seems both models have the delta II platform so I wonder if parts are compatible. I'm looking for rear shock absorbers and front struts? Thanks!

Good question. I checked out Rockauto for reference, and yes, no listing for your 2014 Orlando for shocks and struts!

It might be compatible, but if it was, I would expect that Rockauto would have these parts available for the Orlando because they have them for the Cruze.

You might want to compare the part numbers of "nearby" parts like control arms, wheel bearings, brake rotors and calipers, etc. and see if there'* similarity between the Orlando and Cruze. If there isn't, odds would be slim that shocks and struts would bolt right up.

That having been said, if none of the above works out. the next step would be to pull shocks and struts out, and measure all of their travel dimensions and mounting dimensions. There is likely something close enough available for shocks, and might be something available for struts. Next step after that would be to go Cuba style and alter etc. parts to make them work.

Thanks for your reply.

I was thinking the same about taking dimensions and measuring my shocks but I was hoping someone else had this problem as well. I guess we'll do it the hard way.

Sorry, nobody here has had this problem that I'm aware of. We've barely heard of the Orlando in this forum . . . and now that I think of it, I've barely ever heard of the Orlando anywhere. I know it got produced for several markets for a while, just it seldom pops up here.

Thanks for your help. No worries.
I may have to go to my local wrecking yard and get used ones but I want to source new ones if I can.

I et something will cross over for the rear, but the front might take some engineering, although maybe not much. If you can take one of each off to carry with you to an auto parts store you could compare.
