Default Best way to test fuel pressure on 3.1/3.4

what'* the easiest way to check fuel pressure on a 3.1 or 3.4 engine? the power steering hoses in the way. One of my service manuals calls for an adapter piece that costs 300 bucks. and I feel pressure tester that costs around 900. No thanks.

I do have a fuel pressure tester that I got from AutoZone that has worked on other cars. it seems like I just need the valve fitting adapter for it and also a way to fit my guage in there

The cheapest f/p tester will fit on there.....if that PS line is a problem, give it a tweak....

I just got done testing a 3.4 fuel pressure about an hour ago. The connector will go on, but you may have to reach in there with some pliers to get it tight. If you go under the belt, there'* a loop in the p/* line you can work around. It'* a little bit of a pain but doable. Good luck.
