I've noticed that my 2011 malibu on the cv axles has a rubber ring on the shaft itself? I can rotate the ring in a circle around the shaft as its not attached in any way does anyone know the purpose of this some axles have them some don't it'* got me curious cause I have the dreaded vibration as others have experienced just put new tires on the king it was that but same vibration more in the seat of the car rather than the steering wheel thanks for the help

Is there a particular speed you are experiencing this vibration at?
When the tires were installed, did you have the wheels balanced?
Have you had a 4 wheel alignment done recently?
Once a year on alignment is recommended.

Feeling it in the seat, it'* more apt to be the rear tires than the fronts....
