Default 2005 impala V6 3.5 engine dies when coming to a stop

Whenever the vehicle is approaching a stop and you take your foot off the accelerator, the engine shuts off. And in most cases, has a hard time restarting. 2005 impala 3.5L V6

What'* wrong with the current post? I don't see anything that needs editing.

Hi Jgilley1,

With almost no backstory here my WAG is the IAC valve has an issue. More detail would help:

Current odometer reading?

How long have you been driving this car?

When did this problem start?

What part of the world are you in?

Is engine and transmission maintenance more-or-less up to date?

Any major damage to the car?

Any modifications to the car?

If you hold the throttle very slightly open will it continue to run while stopped and in gear?

Will it idle in Park or Neutral?

While idling in Park or Neutral, turn the steering one-half turn quickly. Does that significantly change the engine speed or stall the engine?

While idling in Park or Neutral put it in gear, does it have a similar problem?

I agree, that there could be an IAC problem, and possibly also a dirty throttle body....
