Default 2005 Chevy Trailblazer LS w/ 91K A/C Issue

Today I noticed I had my A/C on but, while driving engine ran fine until I can to a stop. Then I had a low idle then the truck shut off, I restarted the engine ran normal. I ran the A/C again the truck did the same thing. I was thinking one of the following: belt, alternator, or compressor. Please Help!!!!

When the engine shuts off does it shut off or stutter to a stop? Any SES lights?

sounds like the alternator, does it do it when the AC is off?

I'm thinking a slipping belt. More load from the AC and the voltage drops.

trae00sle,

Were you planning on taking the vehicle in to be looked at? Please keep us posted.

Thank you,
