2002 Chev Malibu Electrical Problem

2002 Chev Malibu Electrical Problem
The gas gauge and the temperature gauge stopped working. The radio still runs after door is opened and the remote (fob) stopped working even though the battery is fine. This all happened at once.
Haven't tried any repairs yet, but after searching the internet, I see this is a common problem. The car has only 30k miles on it.
Any help is appreciated.
