Also, almost ALL aftermarkets these days are steering wheel compatible because they come with remotes. Steering wheel control adapters work by taking your button presses, sending through a unit which turns them into a RF remote signal the unit can read as a remote button press, and it does what you want.

Cool, I did not realize that is how they got the steering wheel controls to work. Does make very good sense though. I'll check out some units at the local Kenwood dealer so I can see them hooked up and operational. Thanks!
