I've pulled a ton of these motors for rebuild(favorite being the L67 in the gtps)

I've never seen 4 wires on the starter, but when I pulled it there were.

Battery
Primary
And another red and black connected to the bat lug

I pulled the motor because it was leaking out of every gasket possible so I re0laced every one from the pan up and now im dropping it back in

I'm just not seeing on any wire diagram why it has 4, why i removed 4, I just replaced a starter on a 30 gp gt (na) it only had 2 my mint gtp only has 2.

InsIght would be appreciated.

Where do the wires go?

Do they look to be factory wires or aftermarket?

I oulled the diagram and it shows 4 wires.(wir8ng diagram from oriellys)

Shows the primary on the 8mm stud
The battery wire on the 13mm lug
And then the second set of wires coming from the primary bundle connected to the 13mm lug

Autozones wiring diagram only shows primary and battery

I used to have access to MOTOR but dont anymore, and I'm going to assume all data shows what auto zone does because all data is owned by auto zone.

And it'* all part of the stock harness nothing aftermarket.

Okay, that makes sense.
