Default 00 impala abs open ground or short circuit

hey all. since its getting cold out, i figure its probably time to get the gfs abs working again. my abs computer is toast but her being from Birmingham, needs it.

i checked it with my code scanner and the abs code reads "open ground or short "

i was just wondering where the heck the abs computer is to check the ground on it. also, should i be checking the grounds at all the wheels, or would that throw a code for just that particular wheel? thanks alot guys.

ebcm is normally by the brake master cyl. except on the trucks for some reason. diagram says wheel sensors are two wire and go directly to ebcm, should be no ground on those.

your scanner says the motor is not working, so that gives you a place to look, i think if it comes on at key start you are going to be missing a power or ground to it

thanks for the info. this car seems to have more gremlins than i originally thought when i purchased it. although that was about 6 months and about 20,000 miles ago. ill put that on the list of things to look at.

imps are one of the most reliable cars gm makes. all that had to be done in my moms old one was heater resistor, exhaust silencer, and maintenance stuff
