Default P0650 2009 Cadillac SRX

I am at the end of my rope with this so I am hoping someone can help me with this. My light came on 2 weeks ago (right before I need a state inspection) shortly after starting. After about a half a mile of driving it turned itself off. After a few minutes more it started flashing. This has continued each time I driven the car since. I have gone through and checked the fuses and relays, reset the light only for it to come right back on. I have checked the PCM connections, they look fine, is there something more I can do here? Any helps, tips, tricks, procedures would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ben

You need to get it scanned to find out what the code is. Most autoparts stores do it for free.

Sorry my initial post was not well written. I have had it scanned and it read code P0650 MIL Control Circuit Malfunction. Thank you for taking the time and responding. I really appreciate any guidance.

Just did a quick check on SI, so it sounds like the check engine light is working if it'* lighting up in the dash. When it flashes does it flash consitantly or flicker randomly? My best guess is the ECM is falsely setting this code and that is the culprit. The ECM would be covered under the Emissions warranty on the vehicle so take it to the dealer, they'll look into it and more than likely replace the ECM.

I would call it more of a random flicker. It will seldom stay on continusly. Thanks for the insight. Seems like its not a connection problem based off your statement. Am I off base thinking that. Thanks again so much for the replies all.

seems like it could be a loose connection in or to the cluster, or in the pcm
