hello

i have a Cadillac escalade 6.2 :: model 07

millage 206 000 K


check engine light on : p0011 camshaft position sensor

live data :: oil pressure : 10 psi ! no ticking noise no anything

oil new 5w30 ,, level ok ... our weather 45 degree C ( oil 5w30full syn )

replaced oil pressure switch + cam sensor

an idea to resolve the code ?

the low oil pressure is probably causing the cam code, if the oil pressure isnt high enough it cant actuate the cam position solenoid valve like it was designed to, to resolve the code you need to fix the low oil pressure issue which is going to require engine overhaul

Oil pressure at idle should be higher than 10psi

At 10psi, you would have noise coming from the engine due to obvious low oil psi condition.

If you've replaced the oil pressure sensor and are still reading low oil pressure but have no rattling coming from the engine, you might want to backprobe the electrical socket and see what your voltage readings are.

Pay particular attention to the reference signal wire........it should be 5 volts.
