Default No start out of nowhere.

My 2006 DTS my baby out of nowhere won't start. Checked relays wires everything until I pressed the DIC settings button and saw that it still thinks I'm in drive. It has the
"Settings available when in park" message .
Though the car is in park key is removable and car seam to shift in all positions return to park and I am able to remove key.
I'm stuck I need some advice on where to go.
I do all my own work but this is out of my diagnostic experience. I would appreciate any advice.

Yeah, what carfixer007 said ^^^^^^^

I wonder if it could be temporarily fixed by pushing the gearshift lever past Park (like opposite of RNDL). Not super hard like Methesulah would, but enough to go to the far side of the play in that selection. While doing this, see if you can start it and/or access more of the DIC options.
