How to disengage parking brake manually on 2008 Cadillac CTS.
After turning on my 2008 CTS and getting ready to leave I pull the parking brake release handle and it completely broke/came out with about 2 feet of cable attached to the handle. When I got home I instinctively activated the parking brake and now I can’t figure out how to manually disengage the parking brake. I’ve been looking online but hadn’t found any helpful tips yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to find where the cable was connected to it then pull that with a pair of pliers.
If you post a picture of your parking brake pedal mechanism we can probably circle it for you.

Thanks, I'll have to take some of my dash apart to get a good look. The parking brake mechanism is completely covered. But I'll look for the cable. Thanks again.
