Default Parking Brake Replacement

Has anyone had to replace their parking brake. My parking brake won't engage anymore. I think the rachet mechanism is broke.

Well...the PB is engaged thru a cable at the rear brake assembly...Is it that or at the pedal itself..I can't see how it would be defective at brake assy...unless cable is broken..

Default Parking Brake

The mechanism at the pedal seems to be the problem.
