Default Engine Swap

I am putting a 3.6 V6 and automatic transmission from a 2017 Cadillac ATS into a street rod. Does anybody know how to make it run? I have the whole car, all the electronics, etc, but I don't know if it needs to feed through the instrument cluster.

With global communications, you almost need to transfer every module from the original car, especially a Cadillac, to make it run, otherwise there can be a communication problem between the modules....

Default Engine Swap.

Thanks for the reply.
I understand having to use all the modules, I was just wondering if the dash was required.

The 'dash' is actually considered a module(and probably programmed with a VIN, just like today'* car stereos). Part of the communication network. They are all 'daisy' chained together on a CAN network.

Another option. Scour the internet for custom made ECU'*. These are engine controllers that are designed to control today'* engines in a bare bone setup without the need for external modules.
