if you go with the line kit with the tire valve you can use the shocks you have and still have the leveling capability and stock ride. and its only 15 bucks

Weight in the trunk makes sense, i hav a pretty heavy sub box and woofer bak there.. I should take it out and see if the ride height changes..
ill order some oil and giv that a try and see if it helps..
Also i dont kno why i didnt think of that. I actually have a few air valves siting around..
If the compressors gone tho i may just stick with the ones i have installed..

this is what i was refering to when my struts were bad, the compressor was running for a while so it didnt work after i replaced the struts. that kit has fittings that go into the oem type air fitting and gives you some line to mount the fill valve someplace convenient. with new shocks and lines i only have to put air in it a couple times a year

just a side note, advance auto sells that kit for the same price. its listed under "air strut installation kit" after they look you're car up. usually in stock, because the shops always buy the kit with the shocks just incase.

Update 18 months aprox later, big trouble today w/ Rear passenger side air shock.
Basically bang over bumps and at shop right now.
The rubber bellows has been forced upwards into steel tube, seizing the right tire/suspension upwards. Spring is compressed a tad LOL.
Can not force it downwards at all. 1yr warranty on Delco air shocks.
Have ordered (non air) Monroe conversion kit= say bye to the rear air ride...

In preparation for shop to install the new coil over'* pulled # 6 and works fine no lights on, compressor disabled now.

Will post a pic later and review how the new shocks work/feel.
I am sure this is going to be a tad taller in the rear, it was a low rider before.

If it was low it possibly needs a new magnetic ride height sensor which could have been the reason for it being able to seize... Those monroe coil overs was not comfy to me.. Maybe if u have a trunk full of tools then maybe the weight could add some cushioning but on a empty trunk they are pretty stiff... Also on an empty trunk youll get the correct ride height out of it, but with a trunk full of stuff youll get a sag....
My brothers park ave & lesebre has them on the rear, put 2 extra wheels in the trunk of one to giv it a little cushioning... The lesebre has a trunk full of stuff and tht rides pretty nice...

The only down side is that it sags a little.. I put 06 DTS/Lucerne soft ride rear OE air shocks on my Park Ave... Sits nice.. Kinda higher in the rear. Only thing is they were a bit high compared to a set of monroes.. But to keep my air ride was worth it.. Oh and their gas and air shocks.. Gas on the lower end, and air up top.

The new Monroe 90007 are installed and I gained about 1/34" extra rear height.

I do carry lots of weight and compared to the way it was, it seems ok now smooth.

The weight in the trunk helps the ride, and i couldnt have the answer to that.. I never liked the design to those, always seemd a bit fishy, i always thought how could i get cushion and comfort when its all inside the housing... Atleast got a year and a half out of them, i always want atleast 2 years.. Not making it to that is upsetting... Well, good you got em fixd! Good news is ive seen those last upwards of 3years!

Sucks it failed on you, at least now no more worrying about a compressor ever failing.
