Default Underboost_Overboost

2013 buick encore premium AWD 98,000 miles.

I am getting an underboost/overboost Check Engine Light Code PO299 with a secondary code of PO234 (overboost)

The car runs fine, drives fine, has full power, is not missing, but has a Check Engine light.

Before I look into changing the turbo which I don't think is necessary I mean I hope not.

Does this car have a boost solenoid, or a blow off valve, or something to exit the boost?
I noticed something that could be this pretty close to the engine cooling fan coming off of one of the turbo intake rubber pipes. It is very rusted, and the little rod inside of it is also very rusted.

Thanks for any help.

If the wastegate actuator is getting stuck open more than it should, you could have low and high boost as symptoms.
