What type of transmission fluid would I need for a 197k mile PA?

I suggest dextron VI. It'* spendy but worth it. It will also mix with the dextron III your car came with.

if you have no idea which brand was used would dextron vi mix with it all ?


if you had castrol tansmax high mileage --GM 2005 models and prior (not for use where DEXRONŽ-VI is required)
