Default Taillight issue on Buick century

i just bought my first car, a 2001 Buick century custom, and I have spent the last couple of days fixing little things around it(windows, heat control, etc) and I now realize that all of the electrical components in the back trunk lid don’t work including:
licesnse plate lights
reverse lights
remote trunk release( all I hear is a little click near the passenger fuse box)
red tail lights( brake lights on each side work)

online it it said the tail lights were on the same fuse as the dash lights( which were also not working), so the weird thing is that when I replaced that popped fuse, the dash lights worked, but the taillights, etc. still don’t.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a harness on the upper right side of the trunk lid, and I have seen problems where wires, in the harness, break due to flexing......possible it grounded out and initially took out the fuse...

Thanks for that advice, i will definetly check that harness tomorrow morning, I just find it strange that with the new fuse, it doesn’t pop, but the rear still doesn’t work.

What could have happened is the wire broke and grounded out, blowing the fuse......then if you happened to open the trunk, that wire may have moved and no longer grounds out, thus the fuse does not blow but the rear lights do not work....
