Strut recommendations from fellow buick Century owners
I keep seeing two to three brands people talk about: kyb, monroe, gabriel.
But the opinions are all over the place. So I'm trying to find Century owners that found sucess with one if those aftermarket brands?
Any advice would help im thinking monroe as kyb quick struts seem to be to firm
I've been pulling h my heart out researching this and I'm at a lost

I've put KYB on a few cars and they work well. I used to be a big Munroe fan and used them on a lot of my cars back in the day, but they'd always turn to mush in 20,000 to 30,000 miles of majority-highway driving. I had some good luck with Gabriel years ago, but for recent projects they had availability issues, especially through COVID. Munroe'* and Gabriel'* prices were high as well. I decided to try KYB on my Saturn Outlook. They were a little too firm at first but broke in over the first few hundred miles and have been fine since.
KYBs on several of my current cars have held up well for 50,000+ miles each. My LeSabre is due for its third set of struts (at 268,000+ miles) and I'll likely be buying KYB. The Munroes it has right now have been okay, but even when new, they were only slightly better than the 140,000 mile factory shocks that they replaced.
Regarding your particular case, I haven't heard of anyone replacing struts on a Century of your car'* generation in forever. I'd be interested to see if anyone responds that they've done this.
