Exclamation reinstall cluster '05 lesabre

retired gm mech removed my cluster & i had it repaired by ebay vendor. behind light panel portion of dash, small plastic piece, is a plug on short pig tail. cannot find where it plugs in. it appears to be a dummy plug as i can't see any contacts, m or f, on it. do not see any place on cluster to plug in. what is it?how do i remove the column cover as it interferes w/cluster installation? I have tried forcing up the dash top but still binds too much. please help, tired of using my gps for speedometer and hitting gas station every other day. can't find any thing on youtube for '05 lesabre. buick tells me they have no phone/chat service available to help. nearest buick dealer 120 mile r/trip for help. new member, hope i have posted correctly.

more often than not, its really quite painful to remove the cluster. i cant speak for the lesabre, but my mom 02 century and my 99 pa you have to tilt the wheel all the way down, put it in first gear and it still digs into the dashpad pretty hard. as for the plug, there is usually a big plug for the cluster, and a 6 or 8 pin connector if i remember correctly that goes in the back of your driver info buttons.
