Power steering return line removal
Tried a crows foot with a universal end. Is it called universal where you can bend it like a 45 degree elbow? Anyways not enough room to get at it like that. Has to be pretty much straight in. I couldn’t get a flanged open end on it because I can’t get the wrench on. It’* turned in a spot that can’t get it on. Very little room to work with.
I was thinking I might be able to get a bolt cutter in there. Snip off right by the fitting then I might be able to get a socket on it.
Why does this return line go almost around the entire motor? From PS unit past front of motor on the side of frame turns along side the radiator then st the middle of the radiator has this stupid turn going no where for maybe 6 inches then turns back down along side radiator turns along the back of motor above the frame for some reason now switched to rubber or plastic with a cover then turns along the side of the motor going up to rack then turning back to metal for last 6 inches.
could it not simply go along the side of the motor straight to the PS unit???
eBay part 285716297764 will show it. Why pay so much for a simple line.

That'* how you will likely need to get at it. Just support it and lower with a floor jack or what we would do is use an engine crane and hold it from above and remove the two subframe bolts and lower until you have the room.
I got it off. I removed thst mostly useless bracket that holds a wire connection going to a useless oxygen sensor. I was able to get 1 hand in. I couldn’t loosen it because not enough room. So I tightened it a little with a flange wrench and then used a regular wrench to loosen it a little and it easily turned out by hand.
it was leaking at the connection between the metal and the rubber by the tranny. I cut the hose cut the metal line and put them together with 2 hose clamps. Why pay 60-70 for a new line.
Now to put it back on. Was having trouble getting the fitting started. Gave up for another day.
