Plastic petcocks should be outlawed
I am in bad need for some EDUCATING me on when to just leave the 03 Buick regal alone. Today I wanted to flush the new radiator that has not been driven alot, but unlike the old drain plug this one is plastic, I JUST read how easy it is to break stuff off in radiator..I hope that'* not what I did. It came loose pretty easy but I can't get it to screw all the way, there was water still leaking. Do those have a darn trick to make them close completely? I am so dang frustrated. And I would just took bottom hose off but it is very hard to get down to it. I am hoping some kind soul can answer me pretty quick, my daughter can't drive it to work if I can't find an answer

While they are outlawing the plastic petcocks, they can outlaw the plastic tanks on radiators as well. I just JB welded the plastic tank on my 99 for a crack; will see how that does after some heating cooling cycles. Had to do the same on the 93 and the same on a Ford Taurus I owned. Oh, and on the Ford Taurus, the upper intake tube broke off.
