I have a 1999 Buick Regal GS that was showing 11.8 volts going to the pcm from the tps. I decided to bypass the factory wiring harness and wire it directly to the pcm. I did the tps and the maf that way. Well I forgot to check the wire colorsbefire I rewired the connectors. Can anyone please tell me then colors of the wires and the position of the color in the connectors for the tps and maf? It'd be really great if I could also find out which pins they go to on the pcm.
I took the wiring out of the connects and replaced it. May intention is to bypass the wiring harness and just patch in near the pcm connector. I forgot to make note of the position of the original wires which essentially leaves me clueless as to which pin on the pcm I'm looking for. Its my understanding that there is a 5v supply, a variable 5 volt and a ground to each sensor. I thought that it would be easy enough to find a pcm pin out. I was wrong. I have access to a Chilton manual but it seems liks the information provided is incomplete.
Both Chilton and Charm have the pinouts for it. You can't just start using any ole reference or ground to do the sensors. What kind of connectors will you use?
This makes no sense. how do you plan to bypass the harness , and go to the PCM directly, since thats what it already does? The only thing I could think is your attempting to bypass the 5v reference, that they all go together, then go to the PCM.
you realize the pcm only has one 5v reference for these sensors, so they are already doing what youre trying to do
