Alternator K68 105 AMP
PK Ave 97- stock alt is K68 105 amp ...can barely keep up.
Is there another larger output alt that can bolt in this car?
Maybe I should just pull this thing and get it bench tested & rebuilt.
If there is a larger amp bolt on, what brand to go with..??

This makes no sense but will insert reply while inquiring about the CS-130D from:
http://www.alternatorparts.com/cs130...lternators.htm
Their reply was:
I apologize, but the high output replacement for your alternator is the larger AD244 series, which is not available in your mounting style. Any high output CS130D series alternator will give you less-than-stock output at idle, because of a small diameter.
Wonder what the California Co. Quality Power Auto will say about theirs then?
Sending them an email now...

OK Received a reply by email from Quality Power ! Good News !
"Your alternator has unique mounting ears and the only case that will be a direct bolt-in fit is the CS-130D. We have them (click on link below) up to 180 amp max. It will provide 120 amp at idle. You would want the "J Mount Left" mounting style. You can add the alternator into the shopping cart and then calculate the shipping cost without actually being committed to purchasing. Let us know if you have any other questions"

Their 140 Amp (J Mount Left) Alt is only $160 good deal.
The Stock 110 amp is only $115 !
Not sure if I really need another alternator now as the problem really was a weak battery! I just installed an Odyssey AGM Battery.
This 880 CCA battery just load tested at 1219 CCA!
No more lights dim now to say the least, even with my weak 105 amp alternator.
Yes I am a happy camper now and removed the GM side mount battery adapters and am no hooked directly to top posts, using marine adapter and Nylock nuts.

Even after a 30 minute car run, the Odyssey is still not fully charged.
This leaves me to believe that even though a VOM reads 14.5 volts going in, the battery is still not getting enough juice or amps or something.
I now connected to a 3.3 amp CTEK AGM trickle charger, giving that top up.
Hopefully it can fully charge it in one hour?
