Default Loud exhaust

Ok everyone here'* the scoop. A few weeks ago i had a clogged catylatic converter. I kno because i could smell it. So i went to the muffler shop and had them cut it off and (straight pipe it) untill i saved and had another put on. After leaving i then had my resonator rattling like crazy so the next morning i had a resonator put on. And the guy knowing i hadnt had much to work with put a new one on for cheap. Then the mufflers became loud. So, after saving up.. Today i went n had the mufflers replaced but yet still loud "mite be louder. Does anyone know if this is because it needs the Cat? & does the act as a exhaust restrictor/muffler?

cat is likely the biggest noise restriction in the system

Also im kinda thinking that these Mufflers are super Small compared to the old ones.. Could The size of the muffler matter also

Yes, size does matter. And it all has to do with the size of the engine. If the muffler is too small, it won't be able to quiet the noise down, and it can cause performance issues with the engine because of back pressure.

Oh wait, if your using that setup, then your fine. Dual smaller mufflers is typically ok then one big one. What did they install? Flowmasters or something. Can you shoot a video of the sound?

Ok, & yeah there flowmasters.. Its 2 resonators & then the 2 mufflers.. And ill try to shoot a vid. Its just that it didnt make any noise before i could barely here the exhaust when i drive. Now it sounds like a muffler going bad or sumthing

So, lets see if I got this right.

You had the CAT "removed" then added a dual exhaust/mufflers on right?

Of course your exhaust is going to be loud now without the cat. The resonator doesn't really do anything. Its just a resonating chamber.
