Default Instrument Cluster Failed - 2004 Le Sabre

The instrument cluster was erratic for a while and now has failed completely. I have been told that it cannot be repaired and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know where to source a replacement cluster? Is the custer fed from the ECM? Could it be an ECM issue?

The gauges are all sitting stationary at various positions. Some of the warning lights flicker continuously. The Odometer is blank. The car runs fine otherwise. The state inspection is coming up and the car will not pass because of this.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

I would start with Morad:

Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts

I have heard that there is a company on E-bay which rebuilds buick gauge clusters and dashes for around $125. They also change all the light bulbs.

I am having an issue with my cluster also. The temp gauge is never right - sometimes it'* reading cool and others it'* pointing down at the odometer. The speedometer also acts up on occasion. Sometimes it just doesn't work or will work but jerks rather than smoothly moving up and down. I'd say that it works 90% of the time.

Are these the issues that you were / are experiencing? My car does not have a tachometer. If I swap my cluster, will a one with a tach plug and play?
