I hate my car
Now before you say it, i know its not a pontiac....or an H body, but ive got a problem with my buick century. 1994. However i have posted about my 1990 Bonneville also.
Ok well, on the way home tonight my car started to act somewhat funky. Everytime i would hit the gas it would just rev and not accelerate. Then i got to where i was going and got my gift, car ran fine for a few minutes while actually moving and then next thing i know im limping home because the gas pedal became pretty much non-responsive. It was as if i was just in neutral and no longer drive while going down the road.
Now im pretty sure this is dealing with my transmission because it wouldnt be the first time its screwed up but i was just wondering if it could be the fuel pump or anything. At first i thought transmission, then i thought fuel pump but i dunno. Any imput is appreciate....thanks.

Is that Buick Century a 2.2L 4cyl Port fuel injected( 2200 SFI ), or a 3100 V6 SFI?
And do you have a 3(3T40) speed or 4 speed ( 4T60-E )
If you are not sure, look at the 8th didget of the Vin# and tell us what it is..

Has the check engine light come on at any time?
I forget if the 94 2.2 used the MAF sensor( I don't think it did )...
You may need to check the fuel pressure..
Do you have any idea if the 2.2 is Port Fuel Injected or if it has Throttle Body Injection?
I'm thinking Port FI..
And being that its a 94 you can't pull the codes unless you have access to a scantool... It would be neat to see what the PCM is showing, as that car should also use the DIS system...

The 94 is Port Fuel Injected and you were right, it doesnt have the MAF. But i have had problems with the car sputtering at times...and cutting off while sitting at a stop light, so i figured i had a problem with the fuel pump.
Thanks for all the help, i appreciate it.
