I'm cautiously optimistic about a related effect of this repair. I posted a thread over in "Forced Induction" about Code 57. But it'* beginning to look like a created the problem with the salvaged MAF sensor.
see: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=93986

New coil packs and plugs really fixed the acceleration stumble and misfires, but there was still a nagging problem of not feeling much boost and the Code 57. Actually, acceleration from a dead stop was pretty good, but when the car got between 3k and 4k rpm, the rpm'* would start droping off then resume. Then the SES lamp would come on (code 57). Something just didn't feel right.

Today I stuck my original MAF back on the car and things are looking better. On a quick run to the grocery store the acceleration felt much better. I did a couple of quick takeoffs from a dead stop and the car'* reaction was more like the good old days. Sorry, I can't call them WOT runs.....I guess I'm a little gun shy (read chicken).
