It'* been recommended to me that I replace the ECM in my 08' Lucerne (3.8L). I've seen a couple vendors on the web that sell refurbished ECM'* that come "pre-flashed". The cost savings is significant enough to get me to consider it. Does anyone have any experience with installing a pre-flashed and/or refurbished ecm in their vehicle and how did it work out? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Who recommended and WHY?

A local garage with a solid rep reccomended it. They diagnosed it with their Tech 2 scantool. Then re-flashed the exsisting ECM. After reflashing still getting a ECM/PCM error (code P0606).
