Tommorow im going to try and fix the lower rocker panel rust points, and I was just wondering........

If I sand down the rust, then paint over it with some gold paint almost same colour, thats fine right? It wont flake off?

And under the hood. Can I use black tremclad heat paint for some of the old mechanisms, like the alternator, etc.?

Honestly they've been 4 years unpainted, and painting them is only gonna keep out anything from now on. If you do anything i'd sand them a little first, but none of my stuff'* rusting....

Outside you may want to use some primer, the paint may not bond as well. Make it thick too!
