dipstick , bubbles
When was the last time or how many miles since a new filter & fluid went in?
It is a good idea to do this every 50 k miles.
Dexron VI (6) is what you want to add or use when servicing transmission. There are no problems adding to a trans with another Dexron fluid.
The Dex 6 should have less aeration as well. Do you have one or two bubbles or lots? What additives did you add again?
I also have 4t65e and keep it slightly above full line when hot, after 30 minutes of driving, otherwise it seems to hesitate going into drive or reverse sometimes when cold.
If you are planning to do a trans service with new filter etc, now would be the time to consider adding a a half or full bottle of Sea Foam Trans Tune.
This will safely clean the valve body & solenoid by removing any varnish type build ups. I noticed improved shifting soon after using the Sea foam.

i pumped out two quarts and added some new atf (castrol highmileage dex3 H) recently
i know suppose to change the filter, too.
just want to see how it would react. the car evidently gained more power, but now i got some bubbles.
on each read it was about 5 to 10 , basically small bubbles

Dex 3 it is outdated and superseded by Dex6.
You could have a bit of moisture in there explaining the bubbling action or air entering.
Do you have any transmission fluid leaks anywhere like pan or lines?
I would seriously consider getting the pan dropped and use a Delco gasket/filter kit and this time use the correct fluid. You will also be able to then see how much particulate matter is in the pan as well.

the atf i used can be used for my car. don't understand why it'* incorrect.
there aren't any bottom leaks.
i've seen online searches vary about bubbles appearing from overfilled and underfilled.
so could bubbles emerge from a low reading with gm transmissions?

didn't mean to imply im using some dex3H from a while back .
what i used is what can be bought now at the store , Castrol Transmax High Mileage Automatic Transmission Fluid

Well, that'* the problem. Because GM no longer has a say in Dex 3, whoever manufactures Dex 3, can pretty much put whatever they want in it now and slap Dex 3 on it. Basically, you could have a bottle of water that doesn't meet GM'* Dex 3 standards.
