Default Coolant temperature sensor location on 2017 Buick Lacrosse

I'm looking for a diagram or picture of where the Coolant Temperature Sensor is located on the engine. It is supposed to be item 6 on the image I got online of the radiator components, but cannot find it on the car. The part sent from the autoparts store also doesn't have the right angle of the component shown in the diagram below.

Usually it would be in or near the thermostat housing, in the cylinder head, or in the intake manifold.

Is there a bung for it down there where it is supposed to be in the diagram?

That screws into the head or intake.

Did you ever end up doing it yourself? Here is a clip that discouraged me from doing mine. It'* crazy how difficult fixing newer cars is that used to be an easy DIY project on older vehicles.
