Default Update after 1.5 months...

With the Top Post set up using the PC-1500 DT (34-7 Odyssey Battery.
Wow does this battery have reserve and more.
I no longer worry about leaving doors open or stereo on etc.
I even leave stuff charging overnight!
This battery gives me great confidence that the PA will start every time.
Once a month I will manually charge it using a C-Tek 3.3 amp AGM charger.
Generally takes about 20 minutes to top it up to where full light comes on, so I know the charging system is doing ok.

Everyone one knows the internal straps supplying power are not as good as an ole solid top post.
I really have not had a good look at how to convert this onto a top post but, I *** ume this is GM'* idea of a good terminal set up.

Since I may have to get a new battery, I normally use dual posts, but this 97PA will not work without some mods...ideas appreciated. THX
I've never had a problem with side terminals, I just use dielectric grease...Right now I have the extended brass bolts you can add accessories with.. makes it easier to attach jumper cables.. In the past I've used the terminal posts, and marine terminals..

My battery of choice is DURACELL GOLD AGM... From Batteries Plus Bulbs..it'* got lots of power, and recharges 5x faster than other batteries.. It'* great for cars with extensive stereo systems.. I got it because I have lots of USB powered items, can run a usb fan and keep 2 phones charging 24/7, and never worry about starting... Best Battery I've discovered yet, and reasonably priced... My old stock battery would Drain and die..
