CEL help please, EGR code ?
ok the cel came on and I ran the code it came up EGR, the light went out the next day and now its back. Anyway to check to be 100% before spending 130.00 ??

dang I cant remember now have to wait till it comes back on, I have a code scanner of my own, seems like it was 1404 or something, I will grab it if it comes on again. Car is running great...

That'* valve stuck open. Could be a stuck valve or the solenoid went out. You can test the solenoid easy, here'* a write up. https://www.gmforum.com/trouble-shooting-test-procedures-141/egr-solenoid-test-296250/

ill wait till it does it agin and make sure I got the right number...Will it hurt to drive it like that if the light comes back on ??
They cost like 130.00 right ?? Any big deal to change them ?

Easy to change, and there are plenty of us that have some sitting on the shelf, I think I have 3 of them and will be more then happy to sell one for far less.
