Default Catalytic Converters

In Aug 2012, I had to replace my catalytic converter (dealer said there was 2 of them but I see now, there are actually 3) at 61k miles. Now 24K miles later I have the same fault code and I have to replace one or more. A local muffler shop said that only the rearmost one (in line just ahead of the mufflers) was bad and the other two (just below the left and right manifolds)are still OK. I have two shops looking for this converter and I have checked every online parts dealer I can find and no one has the rear converter and even though the parts illustration shows it(between part 8 & 9 in the illustration) , there is no number associated with it, only the two other foremost converters located just below the left and right manifolds (#3 in the illustration). I need a part number for this converter or some clues as to what I am looking for.
Thanks in advance
Gary

...or a resonator? I never heard of a car having 3 cats. 2 yes, but 3 no.

I believe you are correct. Would this silencer cause the fault code for the catalytic converter?
