Does a 2003 Buick lesabre custom have a passenger compartment air filter?

No mention of it in the owner'* manual, but rockauto lists them for your car. May have to wait for another Lesabre owner to chime in.

i think it was the post 2000 h-bodies that had the filter if you wanted it, might have to find the little frame in the junk yard if i am remembering my info properly

If you would change it to "cabin air filter" it would get even more help

It should have one, if the 2003 is the same as my 2000 LeSabre. Check out this video for location and instructions on replacing:

My '00, when I bought it, did not have ANYTHING in that reservoir. Why the previous owner would have removed the cabin air filter (and frame) and not replaced it with anything is beyond me.

I found the filter element + new frame included at Napa Auto Parts pretty inexpensively... see if this link works. It just slid right in there. I'd say go for that option rather than picking through junkyards.

I think your right it was an option. I want to thank everyone for your help and I'll see if I can find a filter housing somewhere.

Wix makes a cabin filter that comes with a frame, I found one on Amazon.com. My Bonneville also did not come with one, it may be a dealer installed option, not sure. At any rate it was an easy install after removing some of the cowl trim.

Thanks Scottydl just bought filter and housing at local NAPA store for 13.95 plus tax. Fit like a glove.
