In regards to your soldering job, I would have shrink wrapped every single one of those connections not only for the addition short-circuit protection, but to help keep out moisture too. Corroded wires suck.

I'm with Tim on that. If you can...I'd pull them apart and add it.

A little more informaiton about why you are doing this may be nice.

i used that liquid electrical tape. works well. then i wrapped it with traditional elec tape.

but im not using the ac to save room ,and an extra headache. lil less weight, and less drag on the engine. i bought an ac bypass pulley, but it was too cheap. made in china pos. so i returned it.

and i used a 53.5 in belt if anyone has to do the same thing. goodyear, and dayco do not make one. gates is the only company i could find. i believe their part # was 5060535.

well its been awhile sincei touched my lil project. but ive made considerable progress. all motor mounts are done.

and i scrapped the soldered harness. i just went to my local junk yard and gutted a full eng and body harness out of a 93 regal. now all i have a a couple add-on solder jobs. rather than the entire thing. and the best part about the harness was that it only cost me 15.99. and i left the fuse panel. pcm, and bcm attached. they didnt care. i love that place.

today was a good day! i started the new engine for the first time. ohh man, what an awesome feeling to hear it turn right over. i got the eng mounts all tightened up. the cv shafts in. now all i need to do is a couple of vacuum lines. and weld the new down pipe to the existing exhaust. its always nice when a plan comes together.

edit. ill post some pics soon.
