99 regal ls misfire
the car has no power and is missing in #2 & #4 cylinder car has new plugs wires and coils i pulled out the plug from #2 and it was black i also smell fuel when i first start it up what could this be its a 99 buick regal 3.8 non */c has 130,000 on it

Do you have a scanner or a code reader? Is that how you know the misfire is on cylinders #2 and #4? Switch the 2/4 coil pack for one of the others, and see if the misfire follows the coil. While you have each coil pack off check the primary and secondary resistances.

code off scanner comes up as random cylinder misfire all coils are brand new but further test with the snap on scanner shows #2 and #4 as having a problem and when i pulled the #2 plug it was very black and all others look new still

Change the #2 plug, check the spark plug wires for proper resistance and any signs of cracks, switch the 2/4 coil to a different position and see if the misfire moves. If none of that works check fuel pressure.
