Question 99 Buick LeSabre - Hit Big Pothole - New Part- Now Starts But Dies

I have a Buick LeSabre with less than 160,00 miles and no engine light coming on. While driving through road work and uneven payment, hit an unmarked payment change, that did damage to car. It busted the radiator and finished throwing out the pulley tensor *was already going bad).

Car was still running fine and got me home even with stops to add more water. It was a large pin hole in top of radiator.

So I replaced radiator, tensor, ac compressor(was needing it). When I went to start car, it would not hit a lick, only click. Thought it was starter, so replaced that. Was not the case, it was battery -- so replaced.

Then it would start but not run. Noticed the HARNESS. Evaporation Emission System was split so ordered and replaced that but still not running.

I am at a total loss now on what it could be, please help. There is no engine light coming on so I can't get a code as to what is wrong and have been told so many things by parts stores it is not funny. Thanks in advance for any help you can lend.

Did you damage (collapse) any part of the exhaust system when you hit bottom?

I can not seem to find the edit option here so let me do it this way.

When I say it will not run, I mean it will crank and then it dies. It will not idle at all. I can keep my foot on the gas and it will run, but as soon as my foot comes off the gas it dies.

Hopr that helps.

IAC valve seems to be stuck closed or is gummed up by gunk.

Thanks Mike. Will try that and see if that solves the problem.
