I have both 1997 Park Avenue FSM'* and an owners manual for a car that was wrecked over a year ago.

Shoot me a PM if you want to make an offer on the set.

well the radio doesn't have any blinking light. I do have a security light in the dash gauge cluster. So I am getting the idea that I will have to replace this radio with one out of a PA that doesn't have the security feature? or any aftermarket radio? don't want all that security stuff might lock me out.as for getting a second key ? lookin for center caps for 7 spoke chrome wheels ? still learning where to find parts, salvage yards are few and far apart out here.

the idea of the radio theftlock was to stop someone from stealing the radio and using it in another car, but everyone on the world has the unlock procedure so its more of a PITA then anything. once unlocked you can turn off the lock feature and you dont have to worry about it anymore. are you sure you dont have the led, it may not be blinking at this point it should be the radio that has it though.

You don't make this sound like any fun getting that old radio out.lol radio works looking for a cd something I can't stand in case it gets stuck inside no loss that way. Now what about a replacement unit? with I pods an bluetooth an whatever else is out there. I'm just now getting use to cassetts an I know what cds are But what will be the next generation of electronic toys to install going to be?

physically taking the radio out is easy, if you want to replace it. i have a clarion thats bluetooth, i set my phone which has a bunch of songs and it links up and plays. phone calls go through the car radio. it has a usb port so you can plug in your ipod or a thumb drive full of mp3s.
