Oh and i adjusted my rear leveling sysystem by fabricating a piece of metal i had sitting around. And made it a little longer than the original level arm and attched the bald head into it and screwd it into place. " by making it longer it raised the rear of the car a bit"
-the longer the arm. The higher it will ride.

I will be following this as well. My ole PA is way over due for KYB'* up front, new bearings, top plate etc. I hope in the spring after the winter'* salt to get tuit...
My rears are also in need of a redo as well.
Max air sounds interesting...

Shaun I have the original suspension currently and have not had to replace it so far.
The "Soft Ride" suspension really is about the springs the car came with.
I will re-use my springs and Install kYB'* Up front probably next "spring" LOL..
The rear'* I am not sure yet..the air is still holding in them currently, and compressor still works.

The soft ride is mostly about the shock or strut valving. I have always had kyb be tighter than stock but I never had a buick. Not really into the floaty ride. They say on the website that it exceeds om performance, whatever that means

I tried KYB struts in the front and the KYB rear air shocks in the rear. I found them to be way to hard in my Buick Lucerne. I now have Monroe struts in the front and Monroe MaxAir air shocks in the rear.. The Monroe products are a much nicer ride favoring the softer side of life. The KYB'* may be a better product but that is a stiff price to pay every time you get into your car for a hard ride (pun intended). I got the Monroe MaxAir 822 air shocks for $52 for the pair on Amazon.. Even if they don't last as long they are inexpensive enough that I would not mind doing them again.

KYB even states on their web site, I believe, that they make them much more stout to make up for a worn out suspension. Thats a poor excuse. You need to correct the worn ball joints, bearings, fittings, and the like if they are bad. If you don't you will ruin your tires, track poorly, and may even be unsafe. An extra hard shock can not make up for that
However if you enjoy a sporting ride then by all means go the KYB route.
