I have a 1997 LeSabre, Custom, 57K miles. super nice car however, this morning the car would not start. The dash lights came on the door chime worked just no starter?? I have connected jumper cables and that offered no help. I noticed the Security light on the upper dash was blinking whenever the ignition switch was on so I tried the other key thinking it may be a pass key problem. No help there. The thing won't even click.

Start with checking the battery cables, make sure everything is clean. Then check voltage at the starter to make sure it'* getting there.

is there any update? I am having a similar issue with my 1994 Olds 88. It ran, and started fine until the other day I had to have a fire man use a slimjim to unlock the door since I locked the keys inside the car. Also my security light was constantly on while it was being driven. any help would be great, thanks!
