Default 95 regal courtesy light stay on

Hi Im having problem with my remote. When I use the remote to either unlock the doors or trunk, the courtesy lights stay on .To turn them off I have to relock the doors, then tey go off gradualy as usual.

I just spent the last two days trying to find the remote receiver.I have a wiring diagram that tell me it is at the base of RH A pillar, but I never found it.

I also had information that the chime module control the delay light turn off.

looks to me like the receiver should put a ground on the dark blue wire (same as door switches)to the chime module when it wants the light on so i think your on the right track. i dont have anything that says were it is unfortunately though

if your going to take a nap there, i usually take the driver seat out. im a pretty big guy and squeezing in there is not fun. usually two or four bolts a connector maybe its usually worth it.
